Joel S. McElhannon, Partner

Having amassed an impressive 75% win record, Joel McElhannon has become the leading political strategist and general consultant to Georgia's Republican leaders.

Never inclined to cherry pick frontrunner candidates and grab the low-hanging fruit, McElhannon has made a habit of guiding underdog campaigns to victory.

McElhannon has cultivated close relationships with many of Georgia’s most influential Republican leaders, and he possesses an unrivaled knowledge of Georgia’s political landscape.

Most celebrated among his many victories, McElhannon crafted Casey Cagle's stunning defeat of Ralph Reed to become Georgia's first Republican Lt. Governor, and he guided Bill Heath to victory over Georgia's legendary Democrat House Speaker Tom Murphy, at the time the nation’s longest serving House Speaker.

In addition to steering over 100 statewide, legislative, municipal, and judicial campaigns in every region in Georgia, McElhannon previously served as Director of Public Relations for the Hall County Board of Commissioners, as Field Director for the Georgia Republican Party, as Advance Coordinator for a U.S. Senate campaign, and as an aide in a Georgia House Republican leadership office.

McElhannon received his BA from the University of Georgia. He currently resides in Atlanta, except on Saturdays in the fall, in which case he will be found cheering on the Dawgs at Sanford Stadium.
